EP 16: Rochelle Leivenzon- “Registered and Endorsed Midwife, IBCLC/ Lactation Consultant, The Mothers Hub Sydney- Connecting Mums, Breastfeeding Twins & Advice for New Mums”
Today we welcome the lovely Rochelle Leivenzon who both Soph and Hayley have worked with when needing support around feeding their babies. Rochelle is a registered and endorsed midwife and IBCLC Lactation Consultant. Her passion is for the postnatal period, preparing and supporting women and families for the reality of having a baby all while adjusting to the demands of life as new parents. As a mother of four children (including twins), she combines decades of personal and professional experience to offer support for women and families into, and through the sacred fourth trimester.
Rochelle offers individualised, early parenting and breastfeeding education while pregnant and personalised postnatal support and lactation services. Rochelle also facilitates the sharing of experiences through her mothers group @themothershubsydney. She offers new parents a safe and nurturing space to face and share the challenges and rewards early parenting brings. Rochelle not only connected Soph and I to some of our closest mum communities, she also supported us with some challenging feeding situations.
This episode was emotional for Hayley in particular due to her challenging feeding journey so its definitely worth sharing with mums to be and new mums who are deep in the 4th trimester.
There is also an EPIC Giveaway for mums to be that Rochelle is offering- check out our post on Instagram here.

Soph: I was very lucky to have Rochelle as a midwife when I was in hospital with Flo - it’s so great to see you again! Thanks so much for joining us on the Poddy! Now, we ask all of our guests this, do you have a funny Motherhood story for us?
Hays: How old are your kids now! But did you pump? And, How was breast feeding twins? Can you talk through your feeding journey?
Soph: Can you tell us about the story of how The Mothers Hub came to be?
Hays: What's the best way to support a mum during the 4th trimester and life thereafter?
Soph: What’s the number one question you get asked as a Midwife or LC?
Hays: We know new parents are given sooo much advice mostly unsolicited BUT as a midwife what advice would you give to a new parent?
Soph: What has been the most beautiful part of Motherhood for you? What about the most challenging aspect for you? Feel free to reflect on any stories or particular images or memories or your births...
Hays: What's one thing that you do for yourself if you can?
Soph: Can you give us three words that summarise motherhood for you?
Soph: Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experience, we are sure you’ve seen it all in your many years of working with women and babies.
